Judy Hemmingsen, Founding Partner
Judy is the author of Relationship Acuity®: Leadership Through a Different Lens, and co-author of the Relationship Acuity® Leadership Guidebook.
Judy is passionate about providing the support people need to respond to the frequent interpersonal issues they face on teams and in their leadership roles. For more than 30 years, she has helped leaders across all sectors develop a unique perspective regarding the importance of relationship management in today’s complex and diverse work environments. Her progressive and varied experience in industry, government and consulting sectors, has built her competence as a facilitator and coach in Leadership and Team Development, Conflict Management, Leading Change, and Performance Improvement.
Judy’s corporate business experience includes a series of progressively senior HR and OD positions within a variety of industries in the areas of recruitment, talent development and organization effectiveness.
Her extensive consulting experience began as a senior consultant with a major human capital management firm where she built her strengths in training and coaching leaders to develop the strategies needed to achieve optimum people performance. As the Managing Partner in a global assessment business, she provided consulting, group facilitation and coaching services, with a suite of relationship building tools, providing certification training to coaches and facilitators across the country. She has coached executives and developed numerous workshops and presentations for leaders and teams in a large variety of industries and sectors.
Judy is committed to providing the necessary tools and resources people need to respond to the frequent interpersonal issues they face on teams and in their roles as team and organizational leaders. Her primary focus is helping people understand the importance of Relationship Acuity®, a unique methodology for people at all levels of an organization to collaborate productively in today’s complex and diverse work environments.
Judy holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology, with a practicum in Assessment and Career Counselling. She holds certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Mediation.
Matt Hemmingsen, Founding Partner
Matt’s current work focuses on enabling client organizations to develop strategies for integrating Relationship Acuity® into their business environments.
Matt brings over 30 years of progressive and varied experience in Senior Corporate HR and Executive Consulting roles in the private sector. A distinguished Human Resources executive with an impressive track record in the C-Suite of a global manufacturing organization, Matt had overall portfolio responsibility for North & South America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Matt was instrumental in the design and delivery of corporate sponsored people initiatives skillfully influencing key decisions and strategic directions to ensure business success.
In his consulting practice, Matt worked with CEO’s and held interim executive positions in small to mid-size organizations that required the development of Human Capital Management strategies to support their business growth. Matt has proven expertise in the areas of Business/HR Strategy development, and Organization Effectiveness initiatives, bringing a unique blend of strategic and tactical approaches to assist leaders in managing significant change within their organization.
As a Managing Partner, Matt directed the Country Distributorship of a global assessment business providing consulting services, assessments and certification training to public and private sector clients as well as a network of independent coaches and facilitators across the territory.
Matt has a bachelor’s degree in political science and attended Cranfield University’s (UK) Executive Development program in Strategic Marketing. He is highly respected as a practical and pragmatic contributor bringing strong passion and commitment to getting things done. The hallmark of his success has been his ability to forge solid working relationships with all constituents.
Madalena Coutinho, Leadership & Team Performance Catalyst
Throughout her extensive career, Madalena has helped organizations solve their most challenging people and performance issues. She has successfully guided leaders at all levels in organizations in unlocking their leadership potential through strategic relationship building. She combines leadership development, individual/team coaching, and organizational consulting, to drive measurable performance results.
She creates and facilitates customized programs for companies of all sizes—from innovative startups to industry leaders—with a singular focus on one core principle: great relationships drive exceptional results.
As a long-time collaborator with Judy Hemmingsen, author of Relationship Acuity®: Leadership Through a Different Lens and co-author of the Relationship Acuity® Leadership Guidebook, Madalena brings deep expertise in the Relationship Acuity® methodology and its practical applications in organizational settings.
Madalena is an Advanced Practitioner in Relationship Awareness Theory and is certified in The Leadership Challenge®, Crucial Conversations, Cultural Transformation Tools, and The 4 Stages of Psychological Safety™. Her additional certifications include Solution Focused Brief Coaching and Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This comprehensive expertise enables her to select and apply the most effective assessment and development tools for each client’s unique needs.
Madalena brings extensive experience in instructional design and adult learning principles, creating engaging and impactful educational experiences that resonate with diverse learning styles. Her facilitation expertise spans audiences from intimate teams of 5 to large conferences of 1,500 participants. She skillfully combines interactive methodologies, experiential learning techniques, and proven adult education practices to ensure knowledge transfer and practical application. Her approach emphasizes creating psychologically safe learning environments where participants can explore, practice, and integrate new skills with confidence.
